About Alberto Oviedo

Alberto Oviedo is a Miami / New York-based commercial lifestyle photographer and director whose work bridges advertising, editorial, and personal storytelling. He moved to the United States to pursue photography and has built a career across both coasts.

He studied at the Art Institute of Atlanta and was mentored by the legendary photographer Jim Fiscus, whose rigorous approach to light and composition became the foundation of Alberto's own practice. In 2006, he founded Oviedo Studios.

His work is driven by a deep belief in the power of images to connect and inspire. "My goal is to create images that connect with people and inspire them to see the world in a different way." Whether shooting a Virgin Voyages campaign at sea or an intimate portrait in studio, Alberto brings the same intentionality and warmth to every frame.

Based between Miami and New York, his cultural influences run deep — the streets of Bogotá and New York, the light of Miami, California deserts, the paintings of Miro and Basquiat, and above all, the journeys of the people he photographs.
